Good morning! Stopping by with some more Christmas cards - again in a design that is fairly easy to mass produce, and this time I'm using some Simon Says Stamp products from over the past year - some from last years Christmas release, and some actually from this past spring's Reason to Smile release! I die cut the churches using Churches Wafer Dies - I thought they went so fun with that sentiment! Once they were die cut, I rubbed some Ranger Multi-Medium Matte Adhesive over them, then coated them with Tim Holtz Rock Candy Distress Glitter and set them aside to dry. I used my MISTI to stamp the sentiments on watercolor paper - first the word "Joy" in clear Embossing Ink, then added the "to the world" in Black Versafine Pigment ink - THEN sprinkled on clear embossing powder and heat embossed. Then it was just a matter of adding the watercolor washes and splatters - here is a closer look at each of them: Once the watercolor dried, I die cut them with a Stitched Rectangle Die, then used a dab of the Ranger Multi-Medium Matte Adhesive to adhere the churches - this adhesive was nice and sturdy, so they hold, but still have some freedom and movement. I then mounted them on a Fog Gray Card Base. I am also linking this up with a couple challenges - first up, this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes: And then there is this week's Word Art Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes: There is also this awesome coupon at Simon Says Stamp if you have any shopping to do - these deals only come around once in a while, and this offer is good until Monday! :) Product links are all below - including affiliate links where possible, which simply means if you use one of the links below that I receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Easy DIY Christmas Card Ideas You’ll Want to Send This Season | Snowman Crafts
Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been around much lately. We have had an amazing amount of entries on the last HLS CAS challenge, and I've been visiting all the entrants and enjoying the creativity. Plus we also had a DT call, so I've been spending some quality time poking through the blogs of the applicants. So much fun!! Just means less time right now for creating, so it's been over a week since I posted a card. Time flies when you're having fun! :) Speaking of time ... it's now time for the new sketch challenge at Happy Little Stampers. :) I went in a different direction than the icons on the sketch :) ... but I hope you can see that I kept the two tall elements, with the curved detail in the middle. The sun is replaced with all the falling snow. :) I used a digital image, printed it twice, fussy cutting one and colouring it with copics. I then coated it with Clear Wink of Stella so it sparkles ... can't see it in the photo above, so I'm including a close up below that shows it a little. :) I paper pieced the fussy-cut snowman on top of the printed card front, after I glued down twine for the swing and added glossy accents to the light bulbs. Dazzling Details clear glitter glue was added to the falling snow for a little more sparkle. :) I hope you'll join us for our sketch challenge at Happy Little Stampers. The challenge is open until the end of June ... lots of time to play along. :) Stamps: Snowman Christmas Lights Swing (Dearie Dolls); Christmas Sampler (Paper Smooches) Paper: White (Neenah) Ink: Real Red (SU!); Copics Accessories & Tools: glossy accents, clear glitter glue, clear wink of stella Challenges: HLS June Sketch Challenge
